·         Debbie reported that our elections will be coming up. It’s time to think about volunteering for office to help support TGAA. We will be voting in September.  This way the new officers can be mentored by the existing officers.

·         Debbie gave an update on the Breckenridge Show. To date we have sold 12 pieces. Jolanta and Debbie will be going on Friday to dismantle the show.  Terry gave Jolanta and Debbie thank you notes from the group thanking them for all their hard work in setting up such a fabulous show.

·         Our August meeting will be a SWAP ‘TILL YOU DROP meeting. It’s time to find those things that you are no longer using and know that someone else might appreciate. You can trade, swap or sell. So bring cash just in case you find something you can’t live without.

·         It’s time for a BOX CHALLENGE. For those of you that participated before, you know that it was tons of fun. It was amazing to see all the creativity that our members showed using the contents of the boxes. Now is the time to get ready to participate again. The boxes will be due at the August meeting.

1.      All participants put together a box that contains around $15 worth of various glass supplies.  Please put more than 3 items in the box-it makes it more fun and it’s hard to be creative with only 3 things to play with.

2.      You are responsible to use at least three things from your box. You may supplement your piece with additional items.

3.      On the outside of the box label it with 90COE, 96COE, or stained glass. We will have a drawing to assign the boxes according to COE.

4.       On the inside of the box put your name and phone number in case the recipient has a question.

5.      We will have a box drawing  at the August meeting. Then the fun begins. What can you create using what is in the box—you know, “Think out of the box!”

6.      The completed challenges will be returned at the October meeting where we will show off our creations, share any construction details or challenges, and vote. The winner will receive a $20 gift certificate to Merry Go Round.
