My life as an artist began in childhood. In 1982 I received my B.F.A. in Studio Art from Texas State University with a specialization in painting. About 10 years ago I began to make mosaics. I fell in love with the look of brightly colored glass and tile against the neutral shades of the grout. My mosaics often have a spiritual theme because of my love for the primitive beauty of early Christian art and Hispanic folk traditions. Each of my mosaics is unique; hang them near a window to catch the light!
