Who We Are
Hi !
I'm Bob, my wife is Judie and we've both been making various crafts for many years.  We started working together back in the early 80's making wood crafts.  Judie would develop an idea; then it would be up to me to put it to wood.  We worked out of our home for several years, where I had a small shop out behind the house.  We opened our own Craft Shop in southern Missouri in 1987.

After the passing of my father, we had to make the decision to return to Texas in 1990.  While Judie continued crafting, adding jewelry and stained glass to her arts; I had to return to the work force.  Over the next several years, we attempted a few "home based" businesses.  We just could not find anything we could maintain any interest in.

I had to have some surgery in November of 2005.  While recovering, I needed something besides Amateur Radio to keep me out of Judie's hair.  I saw a starter kit for making lampwork beads and thought I just had to give it a try.  After making a few beads of dubious quality, I was hooked.  Although I still had no formal training; I have developed my skills and learned techniques in making different styles and types of glass beads.  During this time Judie was developing her skill in stained glass.  I then learned about glass fusing and slumping in our small kiln.

Looking at what we were doing the light went on and voila,  B n J Glass art was born.  I retired in January 2006 and have been having a ball working with glass ever since.  My engineering experience and Judie's artistic talent once again blend together for a perfect combination called: B n J Glass Art.
